I have received this. I note that there are several email addresses for this guy but none of them are at the law firm. I forwarded this to the firm but have not received a reply as to whether this is an associate of theirs. I sincerely doubt it.

I’ve just received exactly the same email from the same barrister, which alerted me immediately. Barristers don’t deal with wills or probate until it is contested and gone to court - a solicitor does. There are two Bell Yard Barristers chambers on the net - one is 7 Bell Yard Barristers and a fake, where our Jose Olivares-Chandler ESQ is listed: http://www.7by.co.uk - and one is at 9-12 Bell Yard which is genuine: http://www.9-12bellyard.com/about.asp and listed by the Bar Council - 7 Bell Yard Barristers on the other hand is not . However, there’s another site called David Wolchover’s Website which gives details of the 7 Bell Yard Barristers chamber. David Wolchover purports to be head of the chamber, but he is not listed by the bar council either, neither is Jose Olivares-Chandler - so there are two fake sites attempting to give 7 Bell Yard Barristers authenticity. No wonder they never replied. I have notified the Bar Council and the 9-12 Bell Yard Barristers Chambers.

    TWIMC,
I too have received a similar e-mail regarding a will and an inheritance of which I am the purported beneficiary. I am an retired attorney in the USA but attended a year of Parlimentary law in London years ago. I remember that wills and testiments are handled by solicitors not barristers as was stated by someone here at this site. Please alert me as to what procedures are in place and being done. Thanks, T.R.Winn
